A Message from Our Executive Director

I’d like to officially introduce myself to you as the new Executive Director at NACA. I am very excited to be part of such an important professional association and am honored that the NACA Board of Directors trusts me with this responsibility.  As many of you know, I have been working with NACA since 2018 as the meeting planner for the NACA Annual Convention.  It’s been a privilege to help NACA grow its convention to the success it is today, and my goal is to carry that success over to other areas that benefit our members.  Working closely with the Board of Directors, I’ll be exploring opportunities for our members that focus on personal growth and career enhancements, while bringing in new members who will benefit from the support they will receive from this strong organization.

My background includes over 17 years of experience working for professional associations, where I focused on areas such as governance, financial management, education and training, and membership recruitment and retention. These skills will help guide me in strengthening NACA’s core mission – to provide our members with an organization focused on excellence in catastrophe insurance adjusting through education, shared resources, and technology.

On a personal note, I live with my husband Leo and our dog Chewy in Mooresville, Alabama, a tiny village outside of Huntsville that is older than the state of Alabama.  I have a daughter and 16-year-old grandson who live in Florida.  I grew up as a military dependent and spent most of my childhood overseas with my Air Force father and Belgian mother.  I was born in Brussels and still have strong family ties to Belgium, where I have a home on the northern Belgian coast.

I believe in transparency in the things I do, so I look forward to getting to know all of you even better.  My phone is always by my side, so feel free to reach out any time.  I plan to do a lot of listening in the coming months to better understand where we are as an organization and where we need to be.  Each of you has a unique perspective on the needs of this industry, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts.  Please feel free to reach out to me at any time!

Start Making Plans Now for the 2025 NACA Convention!

NACA will be celebrating its 50th Convention in Little Rock next year, and we are planning some great activities to celebrate this important milestone!

Our theme for the 2025 Convention Is "Building Bridges Into the Future." The NACA Convention has always been about making long-lasting connections on a professional and personal level.  This is a tight-knit industry, and our goal as we enter into the next 50-year chapter is to continue building strong bridges between our members, our insurance adjusting partners, and the people and companies that support our industry.

The Call for Presentations is now open, and submissions are coming in every day.  The Education Committee is hard at work developing a solid schedule of topics that cover all aspects of the adjusting field, most of which will offer those much-needed continuing education credits.

The Convention Planning Committee is coming up with some unique and memorable experiences that you'll want to be a part of.  The Welcome Reception will be take place February 9, 2025, the same evening as a certain "Big Game" in the United States, so we're changing things up a bit so that we can all enjoy the event together in one place!

Bruce Authement will be back again to offer his popular pre-convention Xactimate training workshop, and plans are underway to once again include the highly-successful "First Connections" Speed Networking that was introduced in Reno!

We want to especially thank our generous sponsors for their help in making the NACA Convention the event of the year for our industry. To date, Pilot and Alacrity are once again our Diamond Sponsors, Crawford is coming in as our Gold Sponsor, MD Claims is once again sponsoring the hotel keycards, and River Road Partners is donating its fees to help sponsor events at the Convention.

To celebrate NACA's 50th Convention anniversary, look for more information soon about a special Tuesday Night offsite event at The Hall, a music venue in Little Rock.

Registration for the Convention will open August 1, 2024, but it's not too early to book your room at the Marriott Little Rock.  We're expecting great attendance this year, so we've also secured the DoubleTree by Hilton Little Rock, just one block away.

Check the NACA website and our social media pages for more information as plans are finalized for what we're expecting to be an awesome Convention!
